About Sofía Reyes
Sofía Reyes is a Latina filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles, California. A recent graduate from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Sofía earned degrees in Film Production and English Literature, along with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. She takes pride as a first-generation college student, and filled her college resume with bountiful leadership experience along with her education. At Pepperdine, she honed in on her skillset in writing, producing, and directing while gaining valuable on-set experience consistently, working in practically all sectors of filmmaking.
From music videos to film festivals, Sofía is determined to make a lasting impact in every space she enters. Creativity and passion are at the forefront of all she embarks on. At heart, all she aims to achieve is to share authentic and original art that makes people feel seen. The daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, Sofía understands the importance of uplifting underrepresented stories and is determined to be a voice for her community through her filmmaking.
